Step 8 MCC and JOC training
The effort put into passing all former stages, numerous exams, and obtaining your commercial pilot licence together with all the ratings is crowned with courses that prepare you for working for airlines. The first one is called MCC (Multi Crew Cooperation Course). It consists in simulating real-life situations starting from preparing the airplane for flight through cooperating with ground handling staff, taxiing, IFR flying with accordance to normal procedures and ending with emergency procedures. The training course is delivered on a certified double-manned airplane simulator. MCC training is a requirement set for pilots applying for jobs by most airlines.
Some airlines that use jet planes expect their candidates to have completed a Jet Orientation Course (JOC). This course is based on multi crew cooperation and takes place on a jet plane simulator.
